From not being indexed in Google to high page rank in ???

From not indexed to 1st page in Google in ??? days...

OK. I am going to start my next experiment and document all steps and the results right here for us to study and critique.

This experiment and hub is designed to help us see how quickly we can get a brand new domain name and website not only indexed in Google but ranking high.

The goal is to use all of our known web 2.0 resources like social networking, link building and social bookmarking to take the following brand new domain name and website from not even being indexed by Google to ranking on the first page. Done correctly, it should be easy.

The main keyword we will be optimizing is "tampa fl mortgage".and we will be using the domain name Tampa-Fl-Mortgage.com. Notice this being my very first link building attempt. One of the most important things Google pays attention to is the anchor text that the links use to link to your site. I am using "tampa fl mortgage" above as the anchor text and linking that text to my website. Seems like all this would be easy enought to do right.

Well we will find out. I have been trying different methods to get some of my sites to rank on the first page of Google. You would think it would be a no brainer if you owned the domain name with the exact keyword you were optimizing for. However, Google has gotten even smarter and although it helps to have the exact matching domain name, Google doesn't automatically put you on the front page.

I have one site about prom tuxedos that used to be on the front page but isn't even indexed now. (Did you notice the anchor text that links to the site I'm talking about? This is an attempt to start the link building process to get this site back to where it used to be - the first page on Google). I think the problem was this. I tried some "automated content blog software" and Google knew it so I think they de-indexed me. Unless you are an absolute hard core experienced black hatter, I would not suggest using any questionable software to get high rankings or to create bogus content. It cost me tons of traffic plus a lot of time to re-indexed.

I created an account with OnlyWire.com and set up user name and passwords for my existing sites plus added a few. Here are the accounts I currently have active at OnlyWire.com:

After setting this new social bookmarking site up I decided to bookmark this exact hubpage. I am currently sitting at a Hubpage author score of 80 and I want to increase this as much as possible. So this hub now becomes relevant for the following subjects:

1. Getting a newly registered domain name to rank on the first page of Google plus...

2. Using Hubpages high authority page rank to pull the site "promtuxedos.com" out of pergatory.

3. Increasing my hub score and my hub author score using the social bookmarking site OnlyWire.

Still not showing in Google's index although they spidered my site yesterday. The only link pointing back to Tampa-FL-Mortgage.com is the one in this hub.

I just added a decent theme and I am using wordpress as my CMS. I should also let you know that I am using the WordPress theme "Thematic" with the Child Theme "Commune" from CosmoLabs. Thematic is relatively new and claims great SEO and customization. I am not really good with CSS and HTML (not that you really need to be) but it seems OK for now. I will let you know more in another hub.

Back to the website. I added the HeadSpace2 wordpress plugin so I could add unique titles and descriptions to each page. I added a bit more content and will add more later today.

Still nothing showing in Google's index using site:. I have however commented on one dofollow mortgage blog using my keyword phrase as the anchor text in the name field, added the site to one mortgage directory and added some content to the blog. I also replaced the default wordpress blogroll links with popular mortgage related sites.

Finally indexed in Google. It took a bit less than 3 days to get the newly registered domain name Tampa-FL-Motgage.com indexed in Google. I'm actually surprised it took this long. Had I been more aggressive with my actions above and did everything the first day it may have taken less time. That will be my next experience.

Now that I am indexed at least I know Google is aware of my site. Using FireFox and SEOBook.com's Rank Checker, I am no where to be found in the top 100 pages of Google search results for the keyword phrase "tampa fl mortgage". I will continue my link building efforts and create content.

Went on a quick vacation, got back this past Monday and haven't done a thing all week to help this domain name acheive high rankings. Today I checked to see if Tampa-Fl-Mortgage.com is showing up within the first 10 pages of the search engines and I found that Yahoo has me listed #83 for the search term "tampafl mortgage". This goes to prove that having the domain name match the keyword phrase exactly doesn't guarantee top position any more.

The only thing I have done this week to help build links to this domain name is I joined what appears to be a really fantastic tool that will get an article that you write on possibly 1000's of related blogs that are a part of a network of real bloggers. Not a black hat blog farm. It's completely white hat and you have to pay to be a part of the network. I'm giving it a try and if it works I will keep it, if it doesn't I will cancel before the 30 days. Check it our right here MyArticleNetwork.
